Hi there! I’m a mental health therapist with 15 years of experience as a registered social worker, primarily working with adults facing concurrent mental health and addiction challenges. I am trained in EMDR and approach therapy from a person-centered, trauma-informed perspective. I strive to foster this sense of connection both within the therapeutic space and each individual’s support system.
As a therapist, I value the innate knowledge and abilities individual’s bring to the counselling relationship, and it is my role as a therapist to shine awareness on these abilities in order to navigate life’s challenges. I focus on providing an anti-oppressive and empathetic environment for the folks I get to support, and look forward to meeting you soon.

(She/Her/Hers)
Hello!
My name is Julia and my pronouns are she/her.
I am excited to be joining Collective Healing as a counselling intern. I am completing my Masters of Counselling degree from City University after having spent 11 years working as a teacher and Learning Coach. My teaching experience has allowed me the opportunity to work closely with children as well as their teachers and families. I value the rich collaboration that comes from creating a safe space for individuals to seek help when they need it. I hope to bring this value into my new profession as a counsellor.
As a therapist, my focus is encouraging clients to share their stories authentically in a client-focused space. I value each client’s identity mosaic and the role that each piece of that identity plays in an individual’s life journey. My counselling space is safe, welcoming and non-judgmental. Empowering you as the author of your own story is most important, and I am honoured to walk alongside you in this journey.
My approach to counselling include Narrative Therapy (NT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I am flexible to pivot between techniques and approaches to best serve you as the client.
I am eager to work with individuals of all ages and I am comfortable working with many presenting issues. My areas of focus include stress/burnout, boundaries, relationship challenges, grief/loss, anxiety, and neurodivergence. I am also passionate about helping 2SLGBTQI+ youth through gender identity and sexual orientation transitions. I am also bilingual and can communicate fluently in French.
It can be uncomfortable to work towards change, but it is when we experienced discomfort that we also experience growth. I am grateful to have the opportunity to witness your future growth!

Miranda Dolphin MC, CCC
Hi, my name is Miranda (she/her) and I am the Collective Healing Centre’s newest counsellor!
First of all, I want to commend you on seeking out therapy. I have been on the other side of the therapy couch, and I know how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help.
I practice therapy because I believe people have the ability to change and grow, but sometimes need gentle guidance in a safe, supportive space. I welcome clients from all walks of life—any sexuality, gender expression, cultural background, and body size. Everyone is deserving of care! I practice through an anti-oppressive, intersectional feminist lens. I am deeply aware of the larger systems at play, and how they affect the populations I serve. As cost is often a barrier to care, our centre offers sliding scale pricing, as well as virtual and telehealth appointments for a wider range of accessibility.
With a background in seniors recreation therapy, I have developed equal amounts of patience and play. My approach is psychodynamic, person-centered, and trauma-informed, so I strive to create a non-judgmental, collaborative relationship that fosters exploration, validation, and understanding. In sessions, I incorporate mindfulness, somatic movement work, art and humour—because sometimes you just need to laugh! If we want to get out of the office, I provide walking ecotherapy in the surrounding neighbourhood.
I work with individual clients from the ages of 12 and up. I can help with anxiety, body image, burn-out, depression, eating disorders, eco-anxiety, emotional regulation, grief, life transitions, self-harm, spirituality and trauma. I also support neurodivergent folks—including those with ADHD and autism—in understanding themselves more deeply and finding ways to move through life that feel authentic and sustainable. No matter why you come, I hope you will leave our sessions feeling heard, accepted, and empowered, with new tools and practices to incorporate into your daily life.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, watching movies, being in nature, improv, building community, and making art. It would be a privilege to meet and work with you!

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that healing occurs within a safe and trusting relationship, whether with oneself, one’s environment, or another person. I also believe that every client is an expert in their own experience. I, therefore, approach therapy from a strength-based perspective, aiming to build relationships with clients, understand their needs, help them set goals that align with their unique needs and personal strengths, and explore available solutions that lead us toward these therapeutic goals. As a Metis therapist, I am particularly sensitive to the needs of Indigenous people, and I practice from a culturally sensitive perspective that strives to respect the unique experiences of all people.
Reaching out for help in times of need can often be overwhelming. Therefore, it is important to acknowledge that seeking therapeutic support takes substantial bravery and courage. With this in mind, I strive to prioritize a safe, empathetic, and respectful space in which comfort, validation, and understanding are prioritized. Together, we can explore issues relating to stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief/loss, identity, shame, emotional regulation, traumatic experiences, and any other issue that would benefit from a friendly and insightful conversation.

With over a decade spent as a naturopath, I initially focused on the vital connection between lifestyle, physical health, and chronic stress. This experience working with people from all walks of life showed me firsthand that true, lasting wellness requires deep attention to the mind, emotional landscape, and spirit. This conviction inspired me to pursue my clinical training as a psychologist. Today, I integrate this comprehensive background to offer a truly holistic, person-centered therapeutic approach that is both compassionate and grounded in evidence-based psychological practice. My therapeutic philosophy is built on the core values of openness, inclusivity, and respect. I view you not just as an individual seeking help, but as an integrated system. I understand how unresolved emotional challenges can manifest physically, and how physical health impacts mental resilience. I believe in working collaboratively with you, leveraging my background to recognize the interplay between your psychological health and overall vitality. I am committed to being respectful and authentic as we navigate your unique journey. I understand the courage it takes to seek psychological support, and my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your inner world and gain deep insight. In our partnership, we will work collaboratively to explore your core strengths, enhance emotional regulation skills, develop practical coping strategies based on psychological principles, and build confidence needed to face life’s complex challenges and transitions. If you’re ready for an integrated approach that honors your whole self – mind, body, and spirit – I look forward to connecting and supporting your journey towards profound well-being.

To struggle is to be human, and despite the discomfort and pains involved, it is through struggle that I believe we’re able to discover our greatest strengths, expand our resilience, and experience fulfillment while living in connection with our core values.
Before completing my Masters of Counselling, I spent over 13 years working in various sales roles in the technology industry. I came to find that our mental wellness is often directly tied to our physical and emotional health and our relational world, and that our wellbeing is not always an easy thing to understand let alone talk about. It’s understandable that we might lean into a view that sees only symptoms or outcomes. However, when we connect with our inherent strengths, resources, and resilience, we can become empowered agents in our healing journey. Exploring the impact of our experiences, lifestyle, relationships, culture, and other factors through collaboration and acceptance in a safe space can be a meaningful way to reclaim our story and define our own terms for healing and wellbeing. I welcome the opportunity to understand what this may look like for you.
My therapist stance is warm, flexible, and curious, and I believe my most important role in this work is in supporting my clients to feel seen and accepted as we explore what’s happening for them. My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered, attachment, and systems-based philosophies. My work with clients is informed by mindfulness- and somatic-based approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am trained in therapy modalities Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Gottman Couples Therapy (Level 1 & 2).

As a therapist, my approach is rooted in depth therapy and enriched by the insights of Carl Jung and Wolfgang Giegerich amongst others. I aim to help individuals navigate through their process to unearth and address the root causes of recurring issues and patterns whether that be trauma, depression, anxiety, or other issues that are outside of awareness.
I have over 10 years of experience in mental health and my training includes but is not limited to Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic (Jungian) therapy, and sensorimotor therapy. I also have experience in couples therapy utilizing the Gottman Method (Levels 1 and 2) which is known for its effectiveness in enhancing relational dynamics and bringing couples closer together in harmony.
Embarking on a journey to self-understanding can be challenging, but deeply meaningful.
