Miranda Dolphin MC, CCC
Hi, my name is Miranda (she/her) and I am the Collective Healing Centre’s newest counsellor!
First of all, I want to commend you on seeking out therapy. I have been on the other side of the therapy couch, and I know how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help.
I practice therapy because I believe people have the ability to change and grow, but sometimes need gentle guidance in a safe, supportive space. I welcome clients from all walks of life—any sexuality, gender expression, cultural background, and body size. Everyone is deserving of care! I practice through an anti-oppressive, intersectional feminist lens. I am deeply aware of the larger systems at play, and how they affect the populations I serve. As cost is often a barrier to care, our centre offers sliding scale pricing, as well as virtual and telehealth appointments for a wider range of accessibility.
With a background in seniors recreation therapy, I have developed equal amounts of patience and play. My approach is psychodynamic, person-centered, and trauma-informed, so I strive to create a non-judgmental, collaborative relationship that fosters exploration, validation, and understanding. In sessions, I incorporate mindfulness, somatic movement work, art and humour—because sometimes you just need to laugh! If we want to get out of the office, I provide walking ecotherapy in the surrounding neighbourhood.
I work with individual clients from the ages of 12 and up. I can help with anxiety, body image, burn-out, depression, eating disorders, eco-anxiety, emotional regulation, grief, life transitions, self-harm, spirituality and trauma. I also support neurodivergent folks—including those with ADHD and autism—in understanding themselves more deeply and finding ways to move through life that feel authentic and sustainable. No matter why you come, I hope you will leave our sessions feeling heard, accepted, and empowered, with new tools and practices to incorporate into your daily life.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, watching movies, being in nature, theatre, building community, and making art. It would be a privilege to meet and work with you!

“True healing lives where the mind’s understanding meets the body’s awareness.”
With over a decade of experience, I help children, adults, and families navigate the complexities of anxiety, trauma, grief, and behavioral challenges. My practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful change requires a bridge between the mind and the nervous system.
I specialize in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Somatic approaches, helping clients uncouple painful emotions from their memories. This allows the past to feel like a story that is told rather than a trauma that is relived—providing rapid relief from triggers that feel “stuck” in the body.
For my younger clients, I utilize Play Therapy to create a safe, creative space for expression and regulation. Whether through ART, traditional talk therapy, or play, my goal is to provide a calm, non-judgmental environment where you can find the quiet strength needed to move forward with confidence.

To struggle is to be human, and despite the discomfort and pains involved, it is through struggle that I believe we’re able to discover our greatest strengths, expand our resilience, and experience fulfillment while living in connection with our core values.
Before completing my Masters of Counselling, I spent over 13 years working in various sales roles in the technology industry. I came to find that our mental wellness is often directly tied to our physical and emotional health and our relational world, and that our wellbeing is not always an easy thing to understand let alone talk about. It’s understandable that we might lean into a view that sees only symptoms or outcomes. However, when we connect with our inherent strengths, resources, and resilience, we can become empowered agents in our healing journey. Exploring the impact of our experiences, lifestyle, relationships, culture, and other factors through collaboration and acceptance in a safe space can be a meaningful way to reclaim our story and define our own terms for healing and wellbeing. I welcome the opportunity to understand what this may look like for you.
My therapist stance is warm, flexible, and curious, and I believe my most important role in this work is in supporting my clients to feel seen and accepted as we explore what’s happening for them. My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered, attachment, and systems-based philosophies. My work with clients is informed by mindfulness- and somatic-based approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am trained in therapy modalities Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Gottman Couples Therapy (Level 1 & 2).

Mental Health Therapist
My name is Julia (she/her), and I am a Queer, mixed-race mental health therapist at Collective Healing Centre. I completed my internship at the clinic, and I am grateful to be staying on as a mental health therapist with the Collective while awaiting registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). I am completing my Master of Counselling from City University, and I bring over 11 years of experience in education, where I supported youth, families, and communities in navigating growth and change in a bilingual K-12 school setting.
My work is grounded in narrative therapy, with a deep respect for the stories we carry and the meanings we make from them. I believe identity is not fixed, but something that evolves over time. It is shaped by culture, relationships, and lived experience. Therapy offers a space to gently explore those stories, reconnect with your sense of self, and consider new ways forward.
I primarily work with children, teens, young adults, and queer clients. I strive to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and collaborative. I can incorporate different tools to support exploration and insight, always grounded in your goals and the therapeutic relationship, such as Dungeons and Dragons-style roleplay activities, music reflection, or games.
My approach to counselling includes Narrative Therapy (NT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Feminist Theory, Person-Centred, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am flexible to pivot between techniques and approaches to best serve you as the client.
I am eager to work with individuals of all ages and I am comfortable working with many presenting issues. My areas of focus include stress/burnout, boundaries, relationship challenges, grief/loss, anxiety, and neurodivergence. I am also passionate about helping 2SLGBTQI+ youth through gender identity and sexual orientation transitions. I am also bilingual and can communicate fluently in French.
